iPhone 6C Design

iPhone 6C Designed by Caelan Cooper, Features Bigger Screen

The creator of the iphone 6x concept  from a few months ago is back, this time with an iPhone 6C render, that’s shown below in a detailed gallery. This iPhone 6C keeps the unibody design of the original iPhone 5C, but this time it has a bigger screen.

Screen bezels are also reduced and the new handset is described as “razor thin”. The iPhone 6C comes in the original 5 colors of the 5C model and it also includes space gray this time. The smartphone features a 4.8 inch screen is mathematically calculated to include exactly one more row and an extra column of apps.

This iPhone concept will have a color of the Home button and trim of the C area matching the color of the polycarbonate back side. The phone measures 7 mm in thickness this time and it’s the thinnest iPhone ever. As you can see from the pics, the handset has been made wider and a bit more rectangular, plus there’s an extra elegant vibe thanks to the reduced thickness.

Samsung Youm

Samsung Youm is a Flexible AMOLED Smartphone, Now Rendered

The Samsung Youm concept was a big deal about a year ago, when a prototype of a device with a flexible AMOLED screen was shown at various tech shows throughout the world. Time has passed and Samsung hasn’t arrived closer to a commercial version, with the closest thing being the slightly disappointing Galaxy Round.

Thanks to Ian Nott, the Samsung Youm smartphone turns from prototype to render, a pretty beautiful one, I have to say. As you can see, this Samsung concept phone has one normal straight edge and one that goes around the bezel and keeps going. It also flexes in that area apparently, which is what makes the device stand out.

This phone has an edge to edge screen, as some of the images show, but I’m not sure what Samsung understands by “flexible”. Either they mean a screen that is bent and integrated like that on a device, or a really flexible smartphone, that can bend when being used, like the LG G Flex. The Youm looks like more of a device with an already bent screen, since it doesn’t seem to flex…
